As someone who is certainly guilty of overthinking about too much, this verse is especially needed in my life. Sometimes I forget that God is in control of my life and I try to take matters into my own hands. At times in my life, I find myself trying to plan out my future life even 5 years from now and worrying about so much. But as this verse says, the Lord IS and WILL fight for you. We only have to be SILENT. We have to be STILL and NOT WORRY. So if you can relate to overthinking like me, just know we are called to remain calm and stay silent. God’s got it under control. God’s got you.
I came across this beautiful promise as I was spending time with Jesus this morning and had to share. God promises to strengthen us and help us and be by our side always. We must come to him and surrender our life to him and ask for him to be with us. He’s always waiting for us, it’s up to us to run to him and his never failing love.
A few months ago I felt led to fill my wall with bible verses and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Doing this has helped me meditate more verses and feel closer to God so there’s always something we can do to push ourselves to grow closer to Jesus but it’s different for everyone. Through prayer and faith, God will reveal that to you. Today while I was praying and meditating God’s word, Jesus revealed this verse to me; what a beautiful and promising verse! Jesus is my rock and salvation and my fortress and with him by my side I will NOT be shaken. Jesus is greater than any situation or insecurity of ours. By his side we are NOT shaken! Amen amen amen wow I love his word so so much.
Just a reminder today that YOUR PAST DOES NOT MATTER TO JESUS. JESUS IS A GOD THAT FORGIVES AND LOVES. So if you feel yourself trapped by the sins of your past, know that you just have to pray for forgiveness and surrender your life to God and you are forgiven. No matter how “messed up” your past is, it does NOT matter. YOU ARE LOVED. JESUS LOVES YOU SO MUCH! Hope someone was touched by this today because sometimes it’s so easy to forget that we serve a God that forgives ALL our sins and mistakes but it’s truly true! Jesus always forgives we just must come to him confessing all our sins and then we are forgiven.
Our world is so crazy and chaotic and not just right now. It’s frightening and troubling and I’m so burdened in my heart right now. I don’t know why these things are happening or how to approach it and how to really fix it. But it’s in times like these that we need to look to the Lord and pray. Pray for our nation and for our people and the hearts of every individual. Nothing will truly change unless people genuinely understand Christ’s love and treat others with the same love. If you’re reading this today please take the time to cry out to Jesus and pray. He hears us and he’s waiting for our nation to realize this. We need change. We need Jesus.
This verse is so simple but so so powerful and exactly what we need right now. Remember that Jesus does indeed always promise us something to be thankful for. In fact if you have the ability to read this right now, that itself is such a beautiful blessing because your breathing and are able to see and read. These may all seem like little things that aren’t worth being grateful for but they are. They truly are and all the glory goes to Jesus and him alone. We are called to never stopped praying. We are called to always be thankful in every circumstance because it’s part of God’s plan and it’s preparing us for the children he has planned for us to be. I hope you remember today to always be joyful because as a Child of God there truly always is something to be so so joyful for!!!
This verse is EVERYTHING. This verse promises us that if Jesus is our first priority and we are constantly trying to seek more of his kingdom with all that we do, we are promised so many riches from God. Wherever you are in your life right now, no matter how bad or great it is take a moment to praise God just praise him for all that your thankful for and remember to keep your heart set on him first. If we do this, God will bless us in unimaginable ways and how exciting is that!! Wow I love it so so much thinking about God’s word and realizing just how beautiful all his promises are gets me so so happy!
I felt God speaking to me through this verse this morning. God tells us to make the best use of our time with all that we do. While it is important to reflect on our past and look forward for our future, it is more important to enjoy the present and exactly where we are. Every season that we are going through is a season that God has called us to be in. Each season of your life is preparing you to be the person Jesus has called you to be. Meditating this has been so powerful for me personally today and I hope someone else was touched by it as well. Please know just how much Jesus loves you we are all so so loved by him
Wow what a beautiful blessing this verse promises. I’m so so glad I was reminded of this verse with my time with Jesus this morning because it’s such a powerful verse. And I just pray that whoever is reading this is also filled with hope, peace, and joy in their hearts and grow closer and closer to Jesus and his kingdom.
This verse reminds us just how simple it is to come to God with our anxiety and fears and he promises us that he will guard our hearts and minds. But sometimes life happens and certain situations are presented in our life where it just doesn’t seem as easy. And I’m most certainly speaking from personal experience about this but it’s verses like these that remind us of HIS beautiful promises. Every anxiety, every fear, every insecurity, every doubt, every misunderstanding, every pain that you feel in your heart or life bring it to Jesus. Surrender it to God through prayer and ask him for forgiveness and what you’re seeking. He promises to listen and heal our hearts and lives. In him we WILL find peace. In him we WILL be able to guard our hearts and minds from all evil. This was much needed as a reminder in my life today and I hope you were encouraged by it as well.
I love this verse because it reminds me who God promises to be in our lives. God is the God of strength. He’s the God of peace. He’s the God of Empathy. He’s the God of comfort. He’s the God of Hope. He’s the God of healing. He’s the God of restoration. He’s the God of miracles. The impossible is made possible in God’s name. No matter how much we may love certain people in our life, people are bound to let us down and make us upset but God will never let us down. He promises us all this along with sooo much more. He’s so so good!
I needed to hear this verse so so much today. A beautiful reminder that Jesus, our creator, has already established the plans for our life and even when we’re questioning everything in our life, he promises that we don’t need to. There is no need to worry. He is in control. He has a plan. And in the end it will all come together and make sense. I pray that I learn to trust him more and more because truthfully some days it’s insanely hard but with prayer and faith anything is possible. And I also pray that whoever is reading this today also learns to trust that Jesus is in control even through their darkest and weakest moments in life.
There is POWER in his NAME. There is POWER in his PRESENCE. His presence is a place of refuge. I hope you know today that no matter what you’re facing or feeling, give it all to Jesus because is a strong tower and he is in CONTROL. Know that you are safe and in a place of
As simple as this verse may be, there is so much truth in it!! Praise God because he is GOOD. Sing praises to him because it is PLEASANT. We should praise God in every moment of our life: in the midst of our joy, fear, anxieties, pain, depression, insecurities, happiness, peace, etc. No matter what you’re going through today, take a moment today to just praise him. Put everything aside and sing songs and worship his mighty name. He is in control and he is ALWAYS worthy of our praise.
Truthfully, I have found myself so anxious lately. Whether it’s worrying about my first semester in college or thinking about all the different ways the virus will affect my situation, I have been worrying a lot. But this verse is a perfect reminder that there is no need for me to worry. I simply need to surrender all my anxieties to God and stay still. God is in control and God will take care of me. Likewise, if you’re struggling with anything today and find yourself stressing too much about it, please remember that God is with you. God’s got you.
With God by our side, there is no reason to fear anyone or to be afraid. God is our strength and our anchor. There is so much truth and power in this and the next time you find yourself anxious or fearful, speak these promises into your life. God is your strength. God is your fortress. God is with you.
I wanted to highlight this verse today because I think it’s very important to be aware what’s from God and what’s from Satan. As humans, we are tempted on the daily with whatever it may be. And temptations come from the devil; they are evil. So this means we cannot give into our temptations and need to fight them with good. We need to fight them with God’s word. We need to fight them with God’s promises that he gives us. We need to fight them in the name of Jesus. But I think it is very important to remember that our temptations are not from God and that’s Satan trying to get to us. So today I pray that whoever is reading this and whatever temptations your struggling with, I pray in the name of Jesus that you are set free from those chains that are holding you back from receiving God’s promises in your life.
God says he is with me and he will not leave or forsake me. Despite what the world tells me and what others around me do, my God is with me and promises to never leave. And after reading that verse and praying about it I felt peace like no other and could just feel God’s presence with me. I am so grateful for the God we serve.
He is a GOOD GOOD God and I wouldn’t be where I am today without him. Thank you Jesus for never giving up on us no matter how much we mess up. Thank you for always forgiving our sins and welcoming us with your open arms. Thank you for comforting us with your never ending love. Thank you for always being constant and never leaving our side. Thank you for promising us that you will never leave nor forsake us. Thank you for having a relationship with us. Thank you Jesus; I am who I am because of your love, grace, and mercy upon my life!!
As Christians, I think it’s so so important to have the desire and to pray that others will see God’s love through us. And this scripture reminds us what Godly love is. God says love is patient and it is kind. It does not envy and it does not boast and it is not proud. We should strive to show this kind of love to everyone in our lives. It certainly won’t be easy because we are human and our world can be cruel sometimes but prayer is a powerful weapon! And it is important that we pray that God fills us with his love so we can be a light amongst others and show Christ’s love to everyone we meet and everything we do. And I pray that more and more people realize the importance of this and strive to express God’s love with all that they do.
I love this verse because it reminds me that God doesn’t want us to do this life alone. Life is definitely difficult and stressful at times as I’m sure you all know but God doesn’t want us to experience anything alone. God centered community is so so so important and NEEDED in our life! I know community looks so different now with the pandemic but I believe God wants us to be extra creative during this time to get able to connect and reach out with others. So I challenge you today to maybe pray for someone else in your life that you normally don’t pray for, check up on a friend by texting or calling them, sharing scriptures and prayer with a friend, or anything to connect with someone else and make community the way God has called us to
Sometimes our biggest enemy is ourselves. Our own thoughts and fears and weaknesses can all be our own enemies but thankfully we serve a God who is GREATER than ALL of these things. In this verse it says “he has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me” so no matter what or who we’re battling, God has redeemed us from it and through him we find peace. Sweet and everlasting peace.
God promises us that true genuine joy will never come from our own strength or accomplishments or our circumstances; while we do find joy in those moments we only experience true genuine joy through the presence of God. Based on who HE is!! So that means even in the midst of chaos and changing circumstances and discouraging situations, our Lord is constant which means that His joy is our strength that is constant and steadfast. God calls us to be a light in this world or darkness so when we remain joyful despite our chaotic circumstances, the world will look at us and wonder where our joy is found and the name of Jesus will be known!!
As simple as this verse may be, there is so much truth and power in it. God calls us to ALWAYS be joyful and to NEVER stop praying. Despite how we’re feeling or what we’re experiencing in our lives we’re called to always lean on him and simply always be Joyful. And I believe God has called us to always be joyful because he is in control and no matter what he WILL take over and is working mighty amazing things in our life even if in the moment we are totally unaware of those things. So no matter how sad, lonely, stressed, furious, anxious, unmotivated, or whatever you may be feeling today I challenge you to give it all to Jesus and choose to be joyful. God’s got us and we’re called to submit it all to him in prayer and find joy in our life!
As simple as this verse is, there is still SO MUCH power and truth in itIt’s all about honoring God’s name no matter what because at the end of the day that is what matters the most striving to be more like Jesus and spend eternity with him is our biggest goal in life. And most importantly, our worth is NOT defined because of our grades or our worldly status, our purpose and identity is found through Christ Jesus. While it’s important to work hard and work towards our personal goals, it is even more important to prioritize God and remind ourselves of our true worth and identity in Christ Jesus
One of my favorite scriptures to look back on and remind myself of. God promises us that his plans are far MORE GREATER than what we could ever ask or imagine. Our God surpasses our desires and even our imaginations. How amazing is that!! Like truly take a second and take that in....Our God surpasses our own expectations, desires, and wildest imaginations. All he asks of us is to surrender our life fully to him and to trust in him and obey him. He knows what he is doing and he is a GOOD God. So even when things may seem like they’re falling apart on our end, trust me they’re not. God is up to something so so big and amazing in your life, just trust, believe, and surrender your life to him.
It’s so important to build a strong spiritual wall to guard our heart and life and to be deeply rooted in our faith. God calls us to have a intimate prayer life with him and to give it ALL to him so that the devil has no hold over us and that when he does tempt us or come close to us, we won’t fall because we have a strong spiritual wall guarding our hearts and lives. So as I continue to spend more and more time with Jesus in my day to day life I’m learning this myself firsthand and I wanted to emphasize just how important it is because our world is full of darkness and temptations and that means we need more and more Jesus and have a strong prayer life by praying and talking to Jesus daily and reading God’s word daily. So please never forget just how important it is to build a strong spiritual wall that’s guarding your life.
This verse stood out to me because this is our true calling as Christians: to fully submit ourselves to the Lord and have a relationship with Jesus. God doesn’t want us to ever change and fully seek him and God tells us that our work in Him is NEVER done so that means we should never feel as if we’ve done too much or too little and God doesn’t want us anymore because the truth is he always wants us. He has a high calling for each of our lives and it’s up to us to stay obedient and answer the calling he has for us. And of course I know fully submitting ourselves to the Lord is a lot easier said than done and I struggle with it constantly but submitting it to Jesus in prayer is powerful because he will provide you the strength, guidance, hope, joy, peace, and everything else you could ever nee
This verse is a beautiful reminder that not only does God forgive us of our sins COMPLETELY when we ask Him for forgiveness but he also forgets our sins entirely. He never keeps a record or track of all our sins, He always forgives and forgets. He is such a good good God and being reminded of how good He is this morning has brought me so much peace. So the world may keep a track record of all your mistakes and wrongdoings but our God never will.
